(a pain we know all too well.)Vowing to never let these tragedy’s befall another 3d printing enthusiast, miles turned his own body into a 3d printer. He replaced his right hand with a 3.00 Jm (Justice meters) nozzle. Capable of burning his opponents with either the piping hot nozzle or scorching hot plastic. Permanently grafting blue painters tape to his left hand, as that is the only way to make sure stuff doesn’t stick. While working late one night on a project that would revolutionize the world of printing with filament really quickly. bucky was stuck with undertaking an exceptionally long print. However unbeknownst to bucky an amazon shipping error cause him to receive Radio active filament!! His 3d printer may have melted over a 5 hour long process and all his work was now destroyed, but the print fumes from the radioactive filament infused bucky's very DNA with all the powers of filament!He now uses his filament powers to fight crime! SPOOL BOY is stronger than abs, more bouncy than ninjaflex, and is able to be printed easier than the best pla! However, SB!’s is now forever susceptible to moisture and dust, both of which causes everything he prints to just be awful. But with his trusty utility belt full of cleaning rags and silica gel, he will stay dry and clean.Bucky now joining his mentor and friend Dr. Miles, he dons the mask of SPOOL BOYDocumentationthese two characters were made up completely by megamanxjac in order to win the #CostumeChallenge2017. These accessories were designed to use very little support and print with very little errors, they could be adjusted for speed and 3d printer capability.All stl's made my megamanxjac(which is me).Prints need little to no support depending on your 3d printer. The ones that may are: Spoolboy’s belt, chest plate and shoe emblems.Some of the prints need to be assembled using some sort of adhesive: Spoolboy’s shoe clips, PRINT3R’s bearings, circuit board plate, nozzle hand hot/cold.*this was done to save time/space/material on printer, but they could be easily customized to remove the need for adhesive)Belt based prints and chest based prints need cloth to be adhered to chest, back, and waistline. I used a 2 inch wide belt for the belt prints and 2 cm wide ribbons for the chest and back plates. “Side kick meters” letters was adhered to the back of an empty spool and each arm and leg spool bracelets were attached by string or left over pla to the same empty spool. Spool back holders were glued to empty spool as well. (it is possible yet not recommended tFoot spool bracelets are slightly scaled up larger arm spool bracelets with a cut down the middle to allow me to easily put them on and off, however one could simply make a larger spool bracelet to go over feet.All designs were made for a big and tall person (5’11”; 42”), as such items will need to be scaled down for smaller persons. It is highly recommended to measure stl output files before printing. any tool capable of opening, measuring, and scaling stls should be able to view/measure/edit works.Back circuit board is attached to Nozzle hand and Controller belt using wire.Masks were purchased from party city to which the mask accessories were attached. All designs were painted using acrylic and spray paints to give a super hero feel.Images and video in project were created by megamanxjac and utilize the pictures listed in “picture sources”.The individuals modeling the superhero outfits are Megamanxjac(D PRINT3R) and xajxnamageM(SPOOL BOY!).Alternative usesit is possible to reuse the utility belts as holders of tools. And shoe clips as way of attaching decorations to shoes.
