Arma de Portal do Rick Sanchez foi projetado para Impressora 3D. I absolutely love the design of thing:1100601 but the components are too expensive and add up close to 100 dollars. So i found this lovely design and remixed it. I added two tunnels, one that goes to the front, another that goes to the top. These are to hold wiring for LED's. The area for the display was hollowed out more to allow room for components. The LED's are just standard through-hole design with a 133Ohm resistor for each.The battery back is a lithium polymer pack. I went this direction to make it rechargeable. The charging circuit takes a micro-USB cable that I spliced onto a DC barrel connector.The display is permanently wired for C137 on the display. I bought four single bit 7 segment displays. The glass tube is the tricky part, you can go with the light bulb design on the for mentioned thing. I found the glass to be too thin. I found at Michael's craft sores a Halloween potion vial which I cut down to an acceptable length using a diamond Dremel wheel and water cooling. I left the tube epoxy free and instead kept the glass and stained the inside with Alcohol ink made from dark green sharpies. Once tested and setup, the display is pressed into the top cover. the press fit removes the need for screws or clips. The downside is that gaining access to the internals is now difficult, but it looks cleaner overall.
